Seagrass Gallery is proud to announce the official grand opening celebration, to be held at the new location at the Camano Plaza on Saturday, April 19, 2008. The gallery opens at Noon, but the fun really starts at 1:30, when Walt and Marilyn Grosjean of Porkbut BBQ begin serving sandwiches and samples of their award-winning BBQ. And then at 2:00, enjoy live music by The South End String Band, legendary local purveyors of fiddle tunes and front-porch wit & wisdom. This celebration marks the completion of the transition from Gallery in the Loft to Seagrass Gallery. Having been voted the “Best Art Gallery” 3 years running by readers of the Stanwood-Camano News, the “new” gallery continues to feature the work of a select few award-winning Northwest artisans. The grand opening is a rain or shine event (live music weather permitting). Seagrass Gallery is located just a few minutes West of Stanwood at the Camano Plaza, 370 N. East Camano Drive, 98282.
